Artist statement:

I despise “The Man” and “Big-Box Stores” but I believe if Vince would have been able to pick up a venti-quadrupple shot-peppermint mocha latte with whipped cream and browse the isles at Michaels and Home Depot before approaching the easel he might not have painted The Potato People, Starry Night or so many sunflowers. But most likely he still would have ended up with that bandage on his ear.
